Day 275 - Print, cut, paste, bedazzle, sparkle sparkle

Print, cut, paste...arrange, paste, dry, bedazzle, sparkle sparkle...envelope, slide, address, lick, stamp...send...repeat 50 times!
I have 20 invites made and ready for the mailing. Going to send them in spurts so that I don't lose them as they are made.
This makes it so real...maybe I should hurry and get that venue deposit in. :p

Day 274 - Legal...tender and fine

Well, hubby-to-be wins! After encountering some very near problems last night I am FINALLY updating my expired ID...yeah...expired since 2009....and still hailing from a different province. I guess I'm stuck here for good now. *sigh*

I had planned on doing it regardless as it is a necessary component in acquiring a marriage license. But last night when I was almost not allowed to go into the club due to my expired license.... well time to change up.

And as fun as last night was it was so nice to come home and climb into my best friends arms. Then today I sent out our first wedding invitation!

Day 273 - SIZE 4?! No way!

Went in as part of my day out with Jenny we stopped by to try on the wedding dress again. It is a lot bigger on me than it was before. Whoops. But it felt amazing! When the consultant put the clip on it to tighten it up properly I was so petite! THAT is the size I want to be on my wedding day! I can hold off on the last 9.4 lbs for post wedding. I felt so beautiful! So ....perfectly weddable.

After that we went to look at dresses for bridesmaids. While in the dress shop I was encouraged to try on a few dresses. I grabbed a size 8 and found it fit alright. The clerk looked at me and said, "Well that looks alright but let's try this dress *gesturing to another dress* in a 4." I laughed so hard, "There is no way I'm a 4!!"

Guess what...I was wrong!!!!!

Trying on multiple size 4's were an immediate result of this discovery!

Day 272 - Maid of honor celebration

This weekend promises to be productive. Today is Jenny's birthday and we are to going to take her out to her first club to celebrate on the weekend. To prepare for my weekend with my maid of honor I have acquired lots of material required to complete the invitations and prepared myself to get all dressed up for a night on the town afterwards.

Promises to be fun and productive!

Day 269

Fortunately decided on my centrepieces and with the help of kijiji I was able to save $50 on them.
Now to get the rest of the parts to put them together. The frustrating aspect will be the candle holders. I think they are going to be difficult to track down. But fortunately I have 342 days left to find them all.

Day 266 - Who will marry me?

Today I am in a teary-eyed bridal mood today. As things have come together and calmed down I have gone back to simply being excited to marry my best friend. I love my husband-to-be and I am so excited to see the look on his face as I walk down the aisle towards him in 346 days!

Today, inspired by the matrimony of it all, I am comparing officiants and their fees. Not much to compare since they are all strangers to me and only names. As a result I went through the list and picked the officiants with the coolest sounding names.

I found this part interesting though. I received a few quotes of their cost from several J.O.P's which varied only slightly. The final e-mail I received was the lowest cost and the quote was accompanied with a statement that the cost is set by the Department of Justice. For their honesty I decided on them as honesty is important to me. This also saves me $200 from some of the other options.

Day 262 - And it begins!

Today, with all of the necessary components in place I began printing and constructing the wedding invitations. The first two or three were .... not as attractive as the rest. After a while you get accustomed and develop your own system.
The most important part of course is ensuring everyone's personal RSVP ID is accurate as they are to RSVP online using it. Pretty exciting to get these started!
